On a pretty busy shift today I
-saw 25 patients
-had a STEMI
-did a femoral nerve block
-saw more COVID pts than in the last few weeks
-diagnosed cancer
-almost cardioverted afib, but the pt beat me to it
-irritated the nurse by ordering an enema

Left tired but loving my job
You know who was hypoxic? My sick COVID patients.

You know who wasn't hypoxic? Any of my other patients who were all wearing masks, including the elderly and the ones with chronic lung problems
(Well, not entirely true -- I had one patient with COPD that didn't have COVID who was pretty hypoxic. But she still wore a mask and it didn't change her level.of hypoxia!)
