Beyoncé is stuck in a creative rut. But I’ma let y’all come to that conclusion on y’all own. #blackisking
The Lion King: The Gift—though admittedly not a proper entry in the Beyoncé canon—came and went. Why are you rehashing it a year later? Girl, let it go. #blackisking
Beyoncé has reached the point in her output where she is releasing new material just to satiate fans and keep her name circulating, not because she’s inspired. It’s obvious. Lemonade was and will remain the apex of her cultural significance, and now she is stalling. #blackisking
Beyoncé has partly built her legacy as a solo artist on topping herself. If not commercially, then surely creatively. She has no idea how to follow a landmark like Lemonade because not even she herself expected it to have the impact it has had. #blackisking
Everything Is Love, Homecoming (both the Netflix documentary film and subsequent live album release), The Lion King: The Gift, one-off singles, remixes, and now #BlackIsKing are ALL distractions from the pressure to follow up Lemonade. I promise you.
