✨✨ tips on how to write ✨✨
1. PLOT

You can always write down your plot. Note the scenes you want to happen as the story flows. It can be either bulleted scenes on your phone, or make a draft of the whole scene. It's better if you know the plot by heart, but it's not a shame to be reminded sometimes.
— add ko lang,, it's better if you have the whole plot planned from the start. Yung character build up, relationships, conflict, until the ending. That way, you could prevent making plot holes and inconsistencies
2. try using comic sans as your font when writing. Idk about y'all but it really works for me so....
3. Building up your character through his dialogues. The attitude will come out with the use of his dialogues, and on point descriptions on what is he doing.

For example. If you want him to be like a thug character, give him some scenes that fights, curses a lot, etc.
4. Wag mong i-pressure ang sarili mong mag-update o magsulat kapag hindi conditioned and isip mo. Take your time.

Dapat alam mo rin kung kailan active ang utak mo either gabi, madaling araw, tanghali, umaga pa 'yan kung saan ka komportable do it.
5. Make sure your characters are different from each other. Give them a distinctable feature, or change the way they speak, the way they handle problems, are they shy? Outgoing?
6. Make a story where you are most comfortable in writing. Do not push yourself in writing a genre you're not yet ready to write. Okay lang magkaroon ng cliché story if that's your genre but make it a unique cliché (tangina ang gulo pero sana gets niyo)
7. If you’re about to write a character with problematic behaviors or controversial plot conflicts make sure to fix their character arcs. Always be careful about their redemptions. Wag niyong tipirin cause this might cause confusion, plot holes and inconsistencies.
+ Always make sure to be clear with every little details you put in your stories. Be careful. Minsan kasi even magkamali ka in just one word, malaki ang magiging impact niya sa storyline.
8. Avoid adding fillers. Fillers = scenes that doesn't contribute to the characters' build up or to the plot itself.
9. Look up the 7 literary standards and try to incorporate it into your works👍
10. Avoid redundancy or using the same words over and over again. Marami namang pwedeng ipalit, you can search on google a word's synonym, etc.

I got these on pinterest.
11. Wag oa sa paggamit ng idioms.
12. Be minded with word vomit. Nakakaoverwhelm kapag ang dami nang words sa isang part pero make sure that it makes sense.

Kakakita lang namin ng basta bitaw eh
13. Building up your characters personality. Idk if it’s just me, but it really starts from the roots. You don’t just shape them with just ~fuckboy-na-hero-na-magkakagusto-sa-malditang-heroine~
Like, huh?

Kasi ako sa stories ko, palagi akong may backstory. Why hero is like this, why heroine is like this. Then always acknowledge those stated traits sa character development nila.
By doing that, mas mababawasan ang loop holes and problematic scenes na mabubuo sa utak mo. Kasi di mo rin masisi sarili mo diyan. Writing is a flow.
14. It's hard to think of plots especially kapag nakakulong lang lagi sa house so when you have the time (kapag pwede na lumabas), make sure to take a walk or go somewhere unfamiliar. Watch movies, destress yourself, it'll come naturally especially if creative thinker ka.
15. READ, READ, READ. It's hard to be a writer if you're not a reader. Be inspired but make sure not to the point where copying becomes an option.
16. Research on the topics you want to touch, or kahit yung mga simple things like job descriptions, college life, place where they live in.

Malamig ba? Kung malamig ano sinusuot nila madalas? Languange nila, traditions, paniniwala

Kahit na fiction, accuracy should still be a huge factor
17.A. Artistry. This is a quality which appeals to our sense of beauty.

Dito papasok yung paggamit ng figurative language such as, simile, metaphors, hyperbole, personification, etc. Also the imagery.

Artistry completes a literary piece.
Imagery helps your readers to imagine things on their own. Simpleng pag-describe ng lasa, amoy, itsura, pakiramdam, tunog.

Ex. The soft humming of birds
She smells like lavender fields
The sky was blue

Figurative language, on the other hand, adds beauty.
Sometimes, it fuels our imagination better or gives more flavor to your work

Ex. His hugs were warm like a bonfire built mid-winter
He sang beautifully that even the stars danced
Her sadness drowns her like a tidal wave while her hope is merely a sea foam
17.B. Intellectual Value - a literary work stimulates thought. Fiction is supposed to satisfy a readers fantasies but intellectual value talks about giving your readers a sight of the fundamental truths about life. Something they could take a lesson from,+
Give light on areas that were kept in the dark, untouched, kahit sa pasimpleng paraan. It doesn't have to be a societal issue, it could revolve around a lot of things gaya ng mga nanonormalize at kinoconsider as tradition pero mali naman talaga.
17.C. Suggestiveness. This is associated with the emotional power of literature. Make your story something your readers could relate to. Hindi naman na to bago sa'tin, we often write about relatable themes lalo na kapag active sa socmed.
Suggestiveness is also being open to interpretation. May iba-iba tayong pananaw bilang tao, by incorporating suggestiveness and giving one person a different interpretation with the other, it makes our work unique and easy to remember w/c relates to the next literary standard
17.D. Permanence. A great work of literature endures. This is when people can read your work over and over again without getting tired because it gives them a new insight every time.
17.E. Spiritual Value. Make sure to add an important, moral lessons for each story.
17.F. Universality. A great work of literature is timeless and timely. (this is the con of making a bandwagon story)
17.G. Style. Your writing style could make your story easy to distinguish. Better kung mayroon kang personal way of story-telling, or a unique approach.
— advice.

since my members have finished putting down there tips, i have to remind you of something very important.

no one will read your stories at the first try. and don't think that it's discouraging because no matter how sad it is, i tell you that it's normal.
and it will be part of growth. i won't be humble and say that i wasn't greedy for reads when i first started writing. i think all of us in aughrights had experience this.

we will seek validation from other people but i tell you, before people appreciate your works, appreciate it yourself first. sa una, di mo kailangang tumingin sa anong reaksiyon ng mga tao. una mong pagmasdan kung paano ka magsulat.
because beyond the blinding lights of fame and attention, always remember the reason why you started writing.
