While watching episode 301 of #DarkNetflix and I didn't want to miss much of it, I thought of switching from German to English Audiodescription (AD) whenever they didn't talk.
@StavroulaSokoli often talks about different uses of AD; now I found its combinatory potential. (1/4)
Would you expect a future setting where AD language could be combined with the original program language and subtitles in a potentially different language of choice? In my case, I was watching the show in German with Spanish subtitles, and I was OK with English AD on top. (2/4)
I guess that this "augmented-understanding AD on top" would ideally be in the same language as the subtitles, but, practically, any understandable language would work. Again, in my case, it didn't bother me the language switching, but having to change the audio manually. (3/4)
What I'm trying to express is that, for that extra array of uses of AD, it would be nice (and technically doable) to be able to add it as some kind of layer, not as a different audio track, but as an extra item to be included in the system of options, in a combinatory way. (4/4)
(After trying to make it all fit, I ended messing with the grammar. Gods of γραμματική, forgive this humble sleepy soul...)
