let’s talk abt attraction! the way i see it there’s two diff types: immediate and sustained. a thread no one asked for:
immediate attraction is just like it sounds: that draw you feel towards a person in the first few seconds. like when i saw that one buff brown tiktok girl for the first time
sustained attraction is the opposite, takes longer and it’s the sort of thing that grows as you learn more abt the other person
a lot of ppl have immediate attraction but then do not have sustained attraction to them—like i’ve heard of lesbians being immediately attracted to a man thinking they’re a woman and then losing that attraction when they realize theyre a man
one example that i think is SUPER yikes is men having immediate attraction to trans women thinking they’re cis then not having sustained attraction to them bc transphobia
a tweet i saw earlier (that was the impetus for this thread) said lesbians can’t be attracted to men which i agree with the sentiment of, but i feel like it might feel invalidating to say lesbians who mistook a man for a woman and were attracted under
that assumption aren’t real lesbians. yep that’s it luv y’all xo
