Really interesting video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HLVROU30jo4&feature=youtu.be">https://www.youtube.com/watch... https://www.youtube.com/watch...
I also want to clarify a few things and just discuss (civily) how I feel about certain narratives I& #39;ve seen (not just today but in general over the last few months).

This is not an attack on anyone with a strong bias or to anyone that genuinely felt there were issues.
However, I feel many don& #39;t understand context or terminology and are basing their opinions on something that has been misrepresented. (more on that later)
Also, I have many criticisms of BH. They are not perfect. But it becomes harder to ask for things that actually need to be changed when people are constantly attacking them for either a) something not in their control and/or b) something that has been taken out of context.
Want to thank my moot (who I don& #39;t want to name just in case people hate on me/this thread) for talking out a lot of these issues. Sometimes I feel we are too quick to label someone as "solo stan" when they are simply trying to understand/voice concerns (even misguided).
So a few things:
-"songwriting" does NOT equal lyric writing; those are two different things
-song accreditation goes toward those who are writing lines, composing the music, and handling the production (recordings, organizing guides, arranging all the melodies, etc.)
-song accreditation does not go to people singing the guide, backing vocals, singing/rapping; that& #39;s not how it works
-BH is not in charge of KOMCA; and it usually takes quite a while for KOMCA to update credits--they have A LOT of submissions/data... +
+ ...so not seeing credits right after an album release is very, very common; BH does not control that
-defamation/litigation: BH is a company that pursues these kinds of things quite harshly....but they can only pursue cases of defamation in Korea due to laws being diff globally
-another point on defamation/litigation: in order to pursue these cases, the plaintiff (in this case the members) have to be present and review the case + give the go ahead for lawyers to take action; this means... +
+ ...that the members themselves have to sit down/review the defamation; the members have to read a post/see what was written and then approve legal action
-so while we may like BH to go after all the hate (I do too), it& #39;s not only impossible, but think about the members... +
+...having to review all that; there& #39;s a fine balance b/w protecting the artists, having to find the time for BTS (as busy as they are) to review these cases, and then also having to think about the members reading some of these horrible things over and over and over again.... +
-I too want BH to do a better job about organizing their spotify and making sure links work; it& #39;s not just one platform their dealing with (they have Melon, Apple, Spotify, etc); plus if it& #39;s not their own channel, they have to deal with Spotify and Apple (etc.) being slow too
-BH not having proper links for their Youtube channel? yeah, they definitely should be called out/notified if there& #39;s a problem
-HOWEVER, every member has had issues with solo songs/projects; this isn& #39;t BH singling out a member; it just happens no matter the member
-BTS does not do solo member promo; that& #39;s how it ishttps://abs.twimg.com/emoji/v2/... draggable="false" alt="🤷" title="Person shrugging" aria-label="Emoji: Person shrugging">; they have also stated OVER AND OVER that they prioritize the group; this doesn& #39;t mean that individuals can& #39;t shine, but when it comes to CFs and promo, they have made the obvious decision to promote only as a 7 member unit
-no one should ever make the excuse that BH wouldn& #39;t "allow" a member to be on a magazine cover and so the magazine "had to resort to finding a fansite"
-the magazine AND the fansite are both profiting off the portrait rights of that member; basically stealing from them
-don& #39;t know about you, but BH has every right to pursue anyone that seeks to profit from the image of a member w/o those entities paying; and the groundbreaking SK court case will most likely really crack down on publications/fansite doing this (really important case, def read)
