Went to the Japanese grocery store today. They had durian soda. So let’s try this

Oh god. It smells like someone soaked onions in gasoline. Then made cheese. And then died.

The carbonation is NOT doing that smell any favors.

It actually... it tastes pretty good. Sort of lightly sweet, weirdly creamy. Not very fruity, but maybe leafy?

I don’t hate this.
Except the smell

Tried mixing it with gin on a whim.
The efffect is like alchemy. The gin flavor is completely lost and the and it plays up the herbacious flavor elements and makes it almost savory
