HEAR ME OUT!

I was reading the Bible and snacking on cake. It was so sweet (almost painfully sweet) I had to grab for my water. When I started drinking, it tasted so bitter but I kept drinking it cause I hated the sweetness of the cake.
God revealed to me ++

Sin is like the cake and the water is like the word of God. The cake is so sweet in the process but as soon as you add the word of God it reveals the bitterness.
What stood out to me was I hated the bitterness of the water but I kept drinking it cause I hated the cake more.

The word of God reveals our sin and dirty sides of us. And when it rebukes us of can seem bitter cause it doesn't agree with our flesh. But if we keep on drinking and feeding on it we'll come to realise how much it helps to wash and purify us

That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word,
Ephesians 5:26 KJV

Note to self: Keep drinking the word of God
