+ some descriptions of other incidents that establish a certain pattern of behavior that spanned across several years. and these are not isolated instances by any means.
many magnet boys have been in the program since elementary school. they& #39;ve grown up as math champions and first chair instrumentalists. sometimes, that sense of entitlement inevitably manifests itself into unchecked predatory behavior. this is not ok.
in addition, the magnet has a nasty habit of prioritizing its public image over all else. their response to the walstein sexual harassment scandal was completely inadequate.
how much do ivy league acceptances really mean when students are subjected daily to hostile classroom environments? when female students continue to feel objectified by their male teachers?
a lot of us, myself included, have normalized this type of behavior from students, teachers, and administration. it needs to stop.
