you know those scenes where there's a fight, both sides will be equally matched, their weapon being at each other's throats and so they go completely still, knowing one move will be their end?? it's very cliche but it leaves me at the edge of my seat EVERY TIME

anyways remember those theories where keith woudl get mind controlled by haggar and we all wanted lance to fight him so it'd be this really dramatic and pre-relationship eye opener and stuff? yeah so that with this

this happens and that's when lance would take the opportunity to be like "keith i know you're in there" and that whole speech, and it'd either make keith falter and draw back his sword a bit cuz lance is getting to him OR keith would do something cool and lance obviously wouldn't

follow through/he'd take keith's hit cuz he doesn't want to hurt keith

mayhaps i'm writing this thread cuz i wanted this to happen in the show but you can't prove that
