There are very few civil rights issues currently being discussed that are more impactful for Black folk than this. Voting Rights, yes. Defunding police, yes. But then this.

$3B+ a year is stolen from the Black community. You didn't help us. https://twitter.com/JayBilas/status/1277009573312958471
Now that Black athletes and their accomplices are building an alternative, in the free market (like you told us too! Aren't these the Bootstraps?) you want to grant an anti-trust exemption to the organization that exploits Black kids?

No.
A multi-billion dollar organization, terrified of 100 poor Black teenagers with basketballs. I love to see it. 👍🏿

Without being able to exploit their free Black labor, you have nothing. And you know it.
Myself. David West. Terrell Owens. Mahmoud Abdur-Rauf. Mitch Richmond. Champ Bailey. TJ Warren. Henry Bibby. Ethan Thomas. Emily Hu. Jimmy King. Ray Jackson. Nadia Eke. And more.

We're covering kids' tuition *without* restricting their earning ability. https://thepcleague.com/our-team
If you want to compete with the PCL, you can do it on the free market.

PCL announced $100K salaries for top talent.

NBA announced $125K.

PCL announced $150K.

That's how it works.

With PCL or NBA, athletes can have agents. Managers. Endorsements. Basketball skills trainers.
If PCL athletes want to go to Duke, they can still do that. They play for the PCL, the PCL covers tuition, and they attend Duke just like any other student, without your nonsense restrictions.

They can have an Instagram account.

They can sell their own merch. H/t @LukeyBonner
And yes, some NCAA athletes get paid too. But under the table, like criminals. They're made to feel ashamed that they are professional athletes at 18.

Unlike actors.

Or singers.

Or EU soccer players.

Or any celebrity other than Black athletes in majority Black sports the US.
PCL athletes get paid above board, with their heads held high. They don't put themselves at risk of fraud, or tax evasion.

There is no shame in having a job in college. Even if it pays very well for unique talent. Elijah Wood didn't feel ashamed. Neither should you.
