I stand unequivocally with any victims of misconduct or sexual assault period.

I landed in a position last summer where I was presented with a difficult situation and did my best to handle it despite being completed unqualified. Was it perfect? No. But let me be crystal clear:
In condemning one’s PUBLIC MOCKERY of their OWN sexual assault allegations, I was met with:

Community harassment
LEGAL threats
Distancing from friends
Shit talk about my unrelated EVENTS

Let me reiterate that I am NOT the victim here by any means. But my narrative is important
to share. How can we expect any community figures to take action on anything if THAT is the precedent of response?

This situation absolutely is the reason I distanced myself from the community. There are many in leadership positions speaking out today but let me be clear that
very few stood behind the fluffy messaging they’re spreading now. I and those involved were heavily discouraged to take action even by other community leaders.

To reiterate: I stand wholeheartedly with the victim, as I have, and praise them for speaking out. Let’s be better.
For excessive clarity's sake:

This is not a statement associated with UBCEA or any affiliated work positions I uphold. This is from me as someone involved with the BC Smash Bros. Community.

I no longer consider myself a key figure for community issues. I am a TO for PWH & BOBC.
