I was in hospital tonight (all ok) but on my notes I noticed the midwife put ‘husband is supportive, no dv’. Whilst this is true, they never asked me about dv at all. With partners not allowed in due to covid, it’s a perfect opportunity to ask....1/2

Not only did they not ask me about abuse, they wrote on my notes that they had and all was ok. Given the increase of dv in pregnancy and the opportunity they had to ask privately I am really shocked and frustrated that this happened.

They also noted that I was not suicidal. Again, I am not, but I was not asked.
