Black Spirituality in practice, a thread:

Y’all, we are no where near finished, but if I even began to tell you the personal preparation that has gone in to get to this point with @freeblackuni. The spiritual, the physical, the emotional, the mental, the intellectual.
The daily meditation, divination, prayer, reading, and visioning. Whewww, the things I gave up in the months approaching this... Fam, the celibacy, the teetotal lifestyle. I decided to removal all my vices and the noise so I could centre self.
Intentionally aligning more deeply with my soul purpose & path. My spirit felt the call, and I listened. Forever thankful and in a space of gratitude for my ancestors, Orishas, our collective radical Black ancestors, etc. They all consistently guide and protect my ass.
Consistently support me to vision beyond this constrictive reality. Truly, there is so much power held in observing pre-colonial spiritual practices. It truly taught me to dare to dream, and to trust that I am held to step out boldly in that dreaming and radical imagination.
@freeblackuni is a project wholly and completely co-constructed with Divine source. I don’t wanna sound all prechy on you lot, this already might be too much but trust. The centre of the decolonial project must be a reexamination of our spiritual connection and practices.
Church x State division is a Western ting. Our epistemologies and philosophies prior to colonisation were based in our spiritualities. The Western development of “rational” science taught us that there must be a divide for things to be “valid”.
But the whole project is dashing validity out of the window. Family, this shit runs so deep. The Western world has conditioned us in a lot of ways and that unlearning process is a long one. But being open to everything & doing away with any preconceived notions of the world is 🔑
If you want to start exploring - set up an ancestoral alter - just some pics of your fam that have passed and some things they liked. Take it water and offerings. Speak to them daily, give gratitude. Journal every day, journal your dreams. Explore forms of divination.
Google stuff, watch Anscestral Voices, find the spiritualists in your community. But above all trust yourself by connecting to your highest self. The West has taught us that knowledge must come from outside of us - but trust, you have lifetimes of knowledge inscribed on your soul
Be your own teacher, and learn to trust and believe your intuition and your guidance. A collective awakening of this nature is happening rn, it is going to change the whole fucking gameeee ☄️☄️☄️☄️☄️☄️☄️☄️
@LeonaNBlack has an incredible webinar on Ancestral connection that everyone should cop!!! And is just generally an incredible Oracle that I have found deep guidance from and resonance with over the years 💛💫
