Finding a thread like this and seeing all the supposed "founders and original creators of the hobby" bitching and moaning over the possibility of having to consider morality in their games is one of the primary reasons I'm glad the hobby is leaving these fossils behind.
D&D is for everyone. It doesn't matter one single fucking bit "how Gary would have wanted it." This isn't Gary's game in his basement for his good ol pals anymore. We don't need racism or sexism in D&D. No race is inherently evil, no sex is inherently weaker. We left that behind.
The decisions by @Wizards_DnD to update content were made to further the idea that this game is for everyone. I support their decisions and I look forward to seeing what further steps will be taken to foster diversity and inclusion in the hobby.

I saw red when I got to where the topic turned to the use of women in games as sex objects.

Tika and Kiteara certainly were not described by Margaret in her book as sex objects. Which is why it's so fucking infuriating that the male artists drew them as such.
Women do not exist for the male gaze. Women do not exist to be your plot point. Women are more than their fertility. Women are real characters with real stories. Treat them as such.
