Sahrawis are nomad people. They originate from southern Morocco
After Spanish settlers left in 1975, an armed conflict ensued and some Sahrawis ended up in Tindouf.
Since then Tindouf is a refugee camp that has become in fact a prison in the middle of the Saharan desert.
