Zinedine Yazid Zidane. Easily the best manager that Real Madrid could ask for. I don’t know how long his second stint will last. But I am forever grateful for Zidane to actually see a happy chapter as a Madridista.

Zidane is all of the best attributes of our previous managers. Zidane’s pragmatism is something that Mourinho couldn’t even match. Zidane doesn’t make a lot of enemies like Ancelotti. Zidane also study his opponents vigorously and adapt like Rafa.

Zidane is the best manager for Real Madrid despite not being a 4D chess tactician like a Pochettino. The circumstances are very different in Madrid. When you buy a player as Real Madrid, you’re buying talented players who pretty much accomplish everything there is.

Psychologically, the players that go to Real Madrid doesn’t want to play for an authoritarian manager in the most glamorous scene. But they still want to be put in a position to succeed while being somewhat expressive. Zidane accomplishes this.

Real Madrid doesn’t necessarily need a revolution right now. A Galactico such as Mbappe would definitely help. But a total revolution of tactics would create something uneasy. In many ways, Zidane is the best manager because he isn’t revolutionary. It’s not politically possible.

I will endorse the likes of Pochettino to Real Madrid when the old guard consist only Casemiro and Varane. That’s it. I will also endorse Zidane’s decision in the transfers whether it is step-siding Hakimi, being obsessed with Pogba. What is best for Zidane is what’s best for RM.
