the photo on the left is from 2009, people purposefully increased the brightness on it to then compare a recent photo of ariana and say that she darkened her skin.

on the contrary here, on the picture on the left here, the light has been deliberately reduced so that ariana's skin looks much darker than it really is. on the right you can see ariana's real skintone that day.

these edits were made to compare the two modified photos and make people believe that Ariana's skin before was much lighter than her skin now.

now let's talk about this picture. a lot of people use it to say "look at ariana, she has the same skin color as nicki" and make it look like she's trying to blackfish.

the light in this picture is purple and purple lights make people's skin look darker even Nicki's look darker on this pic. Nicki is a light skin black woman ariana a tanned skin white woman. on top of that, the quality of the picture is altered to make it look even more bad.

Ariana and Nicki always almost had the same skintone. (barbs don't come for me, i ain't saying anything bad about the queen of rap). here are some unedited pics of ariana the same night of the pic with nicki, notice how her skintone was way lighter.
