Was always confused by this idea. Nothing against Deathstroke but Batman has the best rogues’ gallery in perhaps all of pop culture, and their idea was to cast them aside in favor of...Deathstroke? https://twitter.com/bruisedwayne69/status/1276883868310745088
Some replies suppose the intent was to make Deathstroke an anti-Batman, as they have some superficial similarities. I guess? I’m sure it’s been done well in the past.

IMO the best possible anti-Batman is Jason Todd, but I know fandom isn’t wild about him as a villain. But I am!
I shouldn’t put all that on fandom. Obviously the preponderance of Jason Todd material in the universe in comics, toys, animation etc is antihero and people love that and that’s great.

Just personally I’ve never been able to forget THAT page of HUSH, know what I mean?
Like for me this is the coolest thing with Jason Todd I’ve ever seen. Batman’s greatest failure back for revenge. He knows everything Batman knows. He can do anything Batman can do. And more; because he can kill.

To quote Rorschach, “Cannot imagine more dangerous opponent.”
This is re: Deathstroke. I haven’t seen the show but I would guess it’s because Ollie doesn’t have a super deep bench of villains. This is why I think Benjamin Percy did something invaluable for GA in creating the Ninth Circle, the bank for supervillains. https://twitter.com/praxjarvin/status/1276969792617021441?s=21 https://twitter.com/praxjarvin/status/1276969792617021441
Some readers wonder why Bruce Wayne’s wealth isn’t the focus of his stories, which is fair. But GREEN ARROW REBIRTH was explicitly about Ollie’s wealth and his responsibilities to the community. It was a brilliantly holistic take by Ben, and I recommend it to anyone.
