A lot of people seem terribly upset at the idea people in the future might judge us poorly. It makes them hesitate to judge the past. But I, for one, have no doubt the future will judge us very harshly, with good reason, and i’m not afraid of that verdict.
Do your best out there by all means. But if in 200 years anyone who did nothing about, let’s say mass homelessness, is treated as a scorned pariah because HOW COULD YOU LET THAT HAPPEN then...wonderful. It means humanity has obviously improved. Why should i be afraid of that?
