Yesterday, there were over 47,000 new confirmed #TrumpVirus cases in the United States.

Ten days ago, June 17, there were just over 26,000 new cases. We have nearly doubled the number of new cases in ten days.

It's too early to tell if this is linear or exponential growth.

1/5
If it's linear, then ten days from now, July 7, we'll have almost 60,000 new cases.

If it's exponential, then on July 7 we'll have about 90,000 new cases. On that day alone.

(Remember, panic set in when there were 80,000 cases total in the whole world.)

2/5
The number of daily new cases won't decrease in the next ten days, or even begin to level off. All the people who will be confirmed with infections in the next ten days are already infected. Any reaction to the explosions in AZ, TX, FL or anywhere else won't change that.

3/5
The infection rate for the next two weeks is already set. We will have a minimum of 70,000 NEW cases in the next two weeks. By July 11, there will be around three and a quarter million total infections in the United States--far more, if the new growth is exponential.

You heard it here first.

I want to be wrong.

5/5
I had a typo in tweet 4/5. I said there would be at least 70,000 new cases by July 11.

No. There will be at least 700,000 new cases by July 11.
