The Pasco Sheriff’s Office is on scene of a deputy-involved shooting involving an adult white female, who fled during an investigation in Port Richey. The female fired a shot at Pasco Sheriff’s deputies who returned fire, striking her once.

The suspect was treated by emergency personnel and was pronounced deceased. No deputies were injured. The criminal investigation regarding the female is ongoing and will be conducted by the Pasco Sheriff’s Office.

The deputy-involved shooting investigation will be conducted by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement, due to a policy change that occurred due to events across our nation and in joining with other Tampa Bay law enforcement agencies.
