A THREAD OF TIMES THE WRONG ACTOR WAS CAST AS A PERSON OF COLOUR.
Mae Whitman and Jack De Sena don& #39;t look brown to me ngl (which is sad bc I love Katara and Sokka)

Donny Osmo as Li Shang wasn& #39;t it
The character of Apu was problematic enough without Hank Azaria, LOOK AT APUS NAME. This one character has affected how the west see brown people to this day.
They had ScarJo play MOTOKO KUSANAGI. The differences in names alone should be obvious (like Arden Cho wouldn& #39;t be a perfect casting)
Remember when Ben Affleck played a Hispanic man? As if there aren& #39;t any Hispanic actors IN HOLLYWOOD (sad bc it& #39;s a really good movie too)
I love movies and TV, but I hate the fact that studios will try to get big names so badly that they forget real people will be watching these movies. As a brown movie lover I hate how we& #39;re so boxed into our roles and never trusted to take center stage LIKE BOLLYWOOD DON& #39;T EXIST
And yes I will be adding more to this list don& #39;t you worry.
WHO COULD FORGET THIS CLASSIC the Prince of P E R S I A (although Gyllenhaal HAS apologised for this role, he should& #39;ve known better than to take it)
