Opinion on engineering entrance exams during a pandemic :

During this pandemic situation , if we cancel exams like jee advanced , state engineering exams , private college exams and any other engineering entrance exams and conduct only jee mains 2nd attempt paper. This will reduce pressure from both students and authority.

Conducting only one more exam will make the process of conducting exams and admission in colleges simpler. And will also ensure less movement of students.
Just like we have NEET for admission of medical students in government and private colleges.

Many of IIT directors are concerned that admitting students in IIT based on merit of JEE MAIN rank will impact the quality of institution.
But 50% reservation in admission also impacts quality of institution.

If they still think it will impact on quality of their institution , then just scrap reservation system for admission of batch 2020-21 and then quality of the institution will be maintained.

There are more than 30 engineering exams ( including state and private engineering exams ) which will be held within month before or after JEE MAIN July attempt. Conducting these many exams will force students to risk their and others life.
