Short thread
Everyone who follows me knows, I think, that I'm a proud Palestinian rights supporter
I try to take the utmost care to ensure this doesn't cross the line that can be drawn between criticism of the Israeli government and forces, into criticism of Jewish people 1/)
for being Jewish
Of course, there are the Gnasherjew/ David Collier/ @Keir_Starmer 's who view any criticism of Israel as antisemitic despite the IHRA definition saying otherwise
I can cope with that
But I'm seeing the Israeli lobby ( groups or individuals who defend and lobby 2/
for Israel' s interests whilst ignoring their problematic human rights record) being described as the " Jewish lobby"
This is offensive and wrong
We all know there are many Jewish people who have concerns about Israel's behaviour, especially in light of the planned annexation 3/
of the occupied West Bank, and the violent behaviour of many illegal settlers in the area
I feel it threatens the validity of our protest and campaign if the term which IS frankly antisemitic is continually used, and offends rightly, many Jewish people, even if unintended
