Why I bought an iPad Air 3 instead of iPad Pro

Okay before anything else.. I think it's proper that I start off with a clear outline of the factors I'll be tackling.
1. Price
2. Function
3. Features
4. Practicality

1. Price
$499 - iPad Air 3rd gen
$799-$999 - iPad Pro 2018
there is a huge gap between the price, and I'll tell you why I think the Air edition is more cost-efficient.

You don't need a 120hz display. Despite the promising buttery feel of using a very high-frequency rate display on a tablet, it wouldn't make much sense if most games and streaming apps do not support such. plus u won't notice it much, it's more of a luxury tbh
Albeit the tablet looks futuristic, in terms of practicality, sometimes it's really hard to get a grip on the iPad with the bezels all evened-out. + the pro edition looks like an android tablet. reading with the tablet is a real struggle as well (esp if u have big hands)
2. Function
TBH.. you won't do heavy-duty work on your iPad... aside from the Air edition being able to handle heavy work as well.. I realized throughout my use,, you wouldn't really feel comfy working on a tablet with a limited os (despite the new iPadOS release)

Even if actually you see the benchmark difference when it comes to the processor and overall performance of both tabs, you don't necessarily get to make the most out of it. it's kinda like buying a 512GB storage you wouldn't really get to occupy
3. Features
Sure there may be downsides if to settle with an Air such as (being left with just Gen 1 Apple Pencil) but you know.. the two apple pencils (gen 2) only have barely noticeable differences. just with their latency, build quality, and magnetic properties

owning a gen 2 pencil is sure convenient, but it doesnt take away the fact that gen 1 does wonders. awkward charging? get a dedicated charger for it (yes there are some).. plus having the pencil stuck beside the tablet is
btw the air is thin as hell.. so i think it's kind of reasonable to not have gen 2 apple pencil support. cuz u know, you can always buy a case with a pocket for an apple pencil naman
4. Practicality
I promise.. even if you get an iPad.. you will still feel the need to lay your hands on a computer. working on an iPad doesn't feel as official. It's kind of lacking features esp with the baby parts of it (such as file management, flash drives, etc)

anyway, if you're about to ask me, yes I have used both already. that's why if you're on a budget, Air is the best alternative. Really no regrets. It's got huge workspace to get things done, a laminated display (so drawing feels like ur drawing on top of it litrally)
also ipad pro really thick kinda.... uhm just buy air you aint gonna lose anything major.
anyway i made this thread to convince myself i make good decisions in life.
mom are you proud of me
