i like watching the hot water pour over instant coffee and you see the powder turn to foam

i like when ppl speak through a fan and it makes that weird vibrating sound and especially when little kids do it and they get really excited about it

i like peeling boiled potatoes

i like walking in the rain when the weather is hot

i like lighting matches and rushing to light as many candles as you can before the flame burns you

i like boiling pasta and getting impatient and eating half-raw half-cooked pieces under the guise of checking to see if they’re done

i like that anticipation of waiting in a long line for a rollercoaster

i like scrambling to find a bookmark when ur done reading, giving up and just flipping the book upside down or dog-earring or memorising the page number or shoving a leaf or pen between the pages

i like when ur tea is too hot but you force urself to drink it anyway because you can’t wait and anyway it tastes better when it’s scorching hot

i like rewatching a film with someone who’s seeing it for the first time and you try to hold urself back from spoiling out of excitement or from giving too much commentary but you always give in and tell them “this is it, this is the scene!!” when ur fav part comes up
