How Jimin’s hardwork is getting wasted and neglected by his own company

These are REAL issues so don’t comment before reading and understanding

• artists get credit for their involvement no matter how big or small. We have seen western artists get credited for literally ONE line but we didn’t know some of jimin’s involvements because his company never credited him.

• Blood sweat and tears: Jimin wrote the melody for BST, something we only got to know because Seokjin mentioned it and praised him for being good at making melodies. He never got credited for it.

Waste It On Me: Vocalists get credit for back ground vocals. Just check ANY credit page and you’ll see members mentioned in BGV, even on solo tracks because EVERY kind of input matters and deserves acknowledgement.

Jimin never got credit for giving background vocals for WIOM. They treated him like a ghost and most “army” still refuse to believe his involvement on that track. (no, seriously)

• Promise(!!!!!): It was Jimin’s first solo song outside the album and he broke Drake’s record of the most streamed song in first 24 hrs. Bighit never acknowledged it. https://soundcloud.com/bangtan/firstjiminpresent

And when people asked the various radio stations and interviewers to ask jimin how he feels about breaking such a big record. Their reply? “We are only allowed to ask company approved questions.”

• Dream Glow: Bighit did not credit Seokjin or Jimin for their background vocals. You don’t have to be an expert for this. You can literally hear them both in the song and yet... Zero credits (bruh)

• Stay Gold: He got 9 second of screen time (solo shots) and a total 11secs in a 4+ minute long song, which is quite an achievement compared to ON MV and other old MVs where he got 13-14 secs max

We are always the first to say “Jimin doesn’t need more screen time to shine” but this treatment is unacceptable. He was barely in the MV.

Also!!!! Once again he didn’t get credited for additional and background vocals for Stay Gold

• Filter: at the beginning of the comeback when Filter did well worldwide and even topped ON in few countries, suddenly it was removed from Apple music, had no play option in shazam AND the wrong youtube video was linked.

We had to trend #\\whereisfilter and mass e-mail Bighit and apple music. and the reply we received? “it’s been removed by the content provider”

Anyways, after constant attempts we got the track back.

• Did it ever occur to you why bighit chose THAT question for Jimin? Why they asked him to chose between Filter and ON? He was taken aback, but he handled it professionally. Do you think he could have answered that his own solo song is better than an ot7 song? Think about it

• People who worked with Jimin aren’t allowed to post anything about it on Instagram. DocsKim (IG)who worked on Lie with Jimin shared this after BH told him he isn’t allowed to post any behind the scenes

• Serendipity’s choreographer Brian Puspos posted a video dancing to Serendipity with a heartfelt message to Jimin and Bighit for giving him a chance on IG. Bighit took down his video because copyrights.....

• FilaUK posted a picture of Jimin on their IG account which was then taken down by the company because.....? As op of this thread said: basically, because they can

• Jimin’s Melon Page intro is still not corrected. for other vl members, 솔로 (solo) and “music genre" are written with their name but for JM it's only "솔로" (solo). JM is also the only member on Melon w/an empty page (but many followers who are anticipating his off-album work)

• Many (many, MANY) times this year, naver articles directly naming Jimin that charted at no.1 got deleted and reposted as an OT7 article. Why would a writer whose article is charting at #1 with thousands of likes delete and re-post??

• Jimin genuinely gets so many offers from brands and artists worldwide.

However, due to OT7 policies....

He has gotten offers and shoutouts from CELINE ,Saintlaurent ,Tommy Hilfiger jp, PATBO, GENTLE MONSTER, Konvini (the biggest online store for korean brands in japan), SJ Group, ManoMos, The Lab , Stephane Christian etc...and yet...

• Jimin is the ONLY idol who’s placed number one on Brand Ranking for the past ONE AND A HALF YEARS and topped Gallup...twice! If you choose to ignore the importance of BR and Gallup that’s up to you. But Korea acknowledges and respects this data.

This info shows his popularity and demand within the industry and we as a fans want his company to acknowledge and use his potential. They are letting a talented individual in his prime just waste away

There are many singers who mentioned wanting to work with him. Masked singer USA wanted him, he was the only Korean male who made it on BOF500...all of this and more from an individual with only one song on soundcloud and one single collab. But anyways

We are not asking him to leave BTS. He can have a solo career while still being an active member of the group like EVERY other K pop group! Only bh has a VL exclusive ot7 policy. look at literally ANY other company and how they utilize their artist’s achievements and popularity.

We are not asking too much.
We are asking because he deserves.

•2018 @ MMA, JM performed a traditional Korean fan dance & got awarded with a plaque from Kim Baek Bong Korean Fan Dance Conservation Society. Jimin tweeted about this but till date fandom refuse to acknowledge this as his award bc BH never mentioned nor showed behindts footage

• Top Class magazine posts about idols, artists, and creators who are “top of the class” in their field. They wanted Jimin on their cover but since it wasn’t an ot7 deal, BH didn’t allow it. In the end they used a photo taken by fansite. (sorry for pic quality)

This is the same thing that YSL ended up doing last year (2019).
Saint Laurent ( @YSL) contacted Jimin's fansite to ask permission to use his picture since they are not allowed to work directly with Jimin due to ot7 policies.

• In 2018 Jimin got d€ath threats which, by the way, made it all the way to KBS News Time. Instead of releasing a statement like they do for all things, BigHit allowed a reporter to ask him about it directly. How is that ok??
JM, as always, handled it professionally

• The same happened during the contr0versy. We understand that because it was a sensitive matter & he basically became a scapegoat for political parties it was hard to comment on it, but by the time BH released a statement it was too late. JM addressed it in Japan b4 BH did.

• BH canceled a blood donation camp that was organised by his K army as his birthday project. The reason being? They were giving unofficial merch to the participants There’s no need to explain how ESSENTIAL blood donations are and much good could have been done, but anyways..

•Sungwoon was asked by WKorea which artist he thinks best fit his voice & has great chemistry w/ and he answered, Jimin.

He revealed both of them often talk about working together & said “maybe doing it after their military service?” Why after? what’s stopping them?

• Promise is STILL under the Hip-Hop/Rap genre on SoundCloud (which is just...lol!). Even after trying to contact the company about the wrong genre we have yet to see any changes...

• From January to May 2018, Jimin won the monthly Peeper x Billboard Award for "Top K-Pop Artist – Individual". Since it was an individual award BH didn’t bother to tell him, he found out later on Vlive. • it’s not news that BigHit often uses Jimin’s issues as emotional porn which can then be twisted into VERY misleading narratives.

• BTS WORLD GAME: This game was released on 26th June, 2019. In this game they talked about JM’s struggle with dieting and overworking himself. They literally used his personal issues for entertainment. After mass emailing, they removed it.

• Jimin came up with the iconic cap choreo from We Are Bulletproof pt 2. Most people don’t know about this as it was only mentioned years ago and Jimin is too humble to take credit. It’s being mentioned now because even “little” things matter. His contribution matters.
