I think it's really important for people to understand just how awful he got before Twitter finally acted. People kept pointing out that he was losing tens of thousands of followers, which is true overall, but this didn't seem to account for the fact that he was also gaining a following that was an extremely active, radicalised few eager to savagely go after anyone he pointed them at.

He weaponized this newly found audience with glee, and pointed them towards targets he wanted dogpiled. Those on the receiving end of this would have a toxic mix of TERFs, qanon, and Britain First activists swarm them with abuse, harassment, threats, and intimidation.

Glinner wasn't just harassing trans people, he was also targeting our cis allies, harbouring a very special hatred for cisgender feminist allies who he'd often label as groomers and *TRAITORS* and directed his hate mob at them.

He was on track to get someone killed.

Let's be 100% clear here. He wasn't banned over a "trans comment" or whatever the institutionally transphobic UK press would have you believe, he was singling people out to a furious far-right mob, republishing their pictures, while smearing them as child abusers.

He was making life hell for the people he targeted and endangered them. Yes, Twitter took far, far too long in suspending him. But I'm glad they acted before he eventually got someone killed and twitter is safer without him.
