Start a FD walking tour from his house on Dallas St. to the slave docks of Fells to the museum to the Civil War museum to the new statue.

Along the tour, discuss Benjamin Banneker, whose house is in Catonsville; Billie Holliday, who’s block of homes she owned is still in upper Fells, the Fells Point shipyard of Isaac Myers, a ship caulker who became a national trade union leader after the Civil War.

Another monument idea I had (and actually was talking 2 a local bronze sculptor in 2014) was a literal bronze lunch counter in front of the former Reeds Drug store where the city’s first sit in occurred with Dr. Helena Hicks. You could sit on bronze stools with a bronze Dr. hicks
