#Dear @YouVersion

I notice that most of your devotionals are ones that have been translated into Spanish, but there is a lack of ones written by actual Hispanic and Latinx bible scholars, ministers, etc. That means there is a cultural element that is lacking.
While it is true that Jesus is the same everywhere, and certain groups may share similar issues, common problems here in the U.S. may not be as common for someone else. Also, different cultures and ethnicities means different voices and perspectives.
And it's not only that. I also think your devotionals lack diversity.
Hill Song, Joyce Meyers, etc., are nice but as a Black woman (especially during a time like this) I want to hear from someone like me who can give me a biblical stance on how to carry on, how to stand fast, etc.
I'm sorry, but no one can tell me what it means to be Christian and Black better than someone who is Christian and Black. They know full well the struggle I go through, they can relate.

And a hip-hop devo is not going to cut it.
I only thought to mention this because I was looking for more Spanish devos today (I'm studying Spanish), and as I scrolled through I couldn't help but see that, again, there are many that were translated but not really any specifically written by anyone from that community.
And being that we are all one in the body of Christ means that all of us should have a voice. All of us love God and all of us have a certain perspective or insight that we can bring. Jesus transcends race, gender, etc., but He also knows each of our needs as well.
I'm sure it's ironic that now, given the current situation here in the US, this would come up. But I'm also a firm believer that God is not about Coincidences.
Perhaps you could consider featuring non-Whites every once and a while in addition to being more inclusive? That means allowing for voices across the globe to speak and share their insight and love for God as well.
I hope you'll take these things into consideration and I thank you for reading this thread.

Now if you'll excuse, I have to find a new devo to start. 😊

God bless and take care.
