"Rape happens because men are exposed to stimulating imagery. That's why even babies, niqabis, and grandmas get raped"

This victim-blaming myth has been untrue when I first heard it a couple decades ago, and it's not any more true today. Stop it
Children like these bigoted comic artists have grown up with this myth, and social media has allowed them to spread it around til they don't realise what a bad argument it is
How easy is it to debunk this trash? Simple comparison. You badly want the latest iPhone. You see it everywhere in ads. Is it someone else's fault when you steal one?

Don't @ me with "hurr durr keep it safely then" https://twitter.com/_Acat_/status/1276746780479115265?s=19
Now the response from victim blamers is usually that sex is the most primal urge for humans, and the most difficult thing to resist. So the logical preventive measure is to reduce stimulus as much as possible, right?
Nope, that doesnt work. Even in the days when all women dressed very modestly, and there was no internet porn, rape and sexual harassment still happened https://twitter.com/jazmaniiandevil/status/1276166179674116113?s=19
In fact, it still happens in parts of the world where women are required to cover themselves. As my dad said, men in his time would get excited just to see the smallest bit of skin
For the record, I am against pornography and I discourage casual sex. I'm in favour of chastity and dressing modestly. But the myth that women share a small part of the blame for rape or harassment has to die
It takes rape apology to another level. Not only are victims themselves to blame, but even if they take every safety precaution and cover themselves from head to toe, some other women are still to blame for posting a selfie somewhere online https://twitter.com/_epiphiany/status/1276477542489141248?s=19
This is the same sort of entitled mentality that goes into the demand to not eat or show food in front of a fasting Muslim. Apparently the sin is never the sinner's fault. The blame is always on someone else https://twitter.com/uglyluhan/status/1135098348510167041?s=19
Take precautions, sure. Be aware of the attention you'll attract, by all means. I don't think anyone's arguing against that. But ultimately the onus should be on men not to rape. Telling women how to prevent it doesn't work

"But rapists won't listen to reason. Their way of thinking isn't rational"

Rapists aren't visibly deranged psychopaths. They look and act like everyone else. Thats what's dangerous about them. They could be anyone, the most woke feminist or the most religious scholar
I don't know which kid first thought it was funny to turn "teach men not to rape" into a Dora joke, but it can only be a child since I'm too old to even get this reference. Again, its easily countered
On the other hand, there is no evidence that rapists are more likely to rape because they saw too many attractive selfies. This is a fantasy created by entitled men, and repeated by subservient young women https://twitter.com/uglyluhan/status/1276503789277569025?s=19
By telling boys that there's no such thing as consent, and making girls believe that their femininity is something to be ashamed of, we're teaching rape culture. That is what's called a hypersexualised society, not what ISMA thinks it means https://twitter.com/uglyluhan/status/1115561275700858880?s=19
