THE ENTIRE DONT GO PROJECT SITUATION. A THREAD!

So as you guys probably know i was one of the artists part of the dont go project, until now the artists of the group werent “allowed” to speak up about this and as such i couldnt say as much as i wanted to until now.

This thread will be long so please read until the end and share once u did :,) basically a short summary of the situation is that one of the artists a part of the dont go project was recently exposed for whitewashing catra in their art and therefore the dont go project-

revieved a wave of hate saying they should be removed from the project. Now here comes the spicy part haha
Once i saw @catrasbabyfinn ‘s tweet calling the artists out i immediately went onto adress the in the project groupchat directly. I sent in screenshots and said this.

The response i got was sadly overwhelmingly defensive of the artist in question. And the artists themselves proceeded NOT to take responsibility. All their messages are the ones with the red text that says “emma”

As you can see people werent really taking anything seriously at first and i was basically the only one actively calling out emma. Of course not everyone was on their side but still you can tell in what direction the majority is leaning

At this point i was getting pissed

once again you can see how emma doesnt care and people are enabling them

Limbo, one of the directors is now proceeding to get slightly aggressive

This is the end of the first part od the conversation but dont worry there is more. Basically this is how the artists were restricted from speaking out

Between the last screenshot and this, i was actively talking to people in my dms and trying my best to tweet about this. This is one of the directors addressing the situation

I wont be including all the responses but as you can tell people were instantly forgiving (of,, themselves??)

Again, this is just the groupchat, i was actively talking to people directly too
But here is my response, because i wasnt taking any shit at this point

BEFORE THESE SCREENSHOTS, before the apology from andrea, limbo asked me privately why i spoke up: of course, i was left on read

Meanwhile juujuu contacted me, saying that she agrees and we talked for a while, both frustrated clearly (again, i wont be showing the whole conversation)

I also privately contacted athena who was more understanding

These are the messages (love them btw) sent limbo the director about how theyre going to quit- bee (another artist) and i were also talking about quitting

Id like to take the time to appreciate the people who reached out to me, espcially if you took the time to dm me

This is pretty much the situation from my POV, there will definitely be updates though. As u can see i left the project but they team asked me to wait til emma can explain herself so i will
