1/ Red meat rhetoric to try and save his job
He keeps refusing to engage in meaningful planning with the unions, we wanted a September plan in place months ago, we provided sensible suggestions based on other countries https://twitter.com/KevinPascoe/status/1276688819723669505
2/ Not certain how he is planning on getting "tough" what has the NEU done that he can crack down on?
Producing checklists covering the DfEs own guidence?
Highlighting what the government's own SAGE committee has said?
We didnt force Councils to be more cautious than gov wanted
3/ We didnt force parents not to send their students in
We didnt write the governments guidence, or say that only certain year groups should be in (we wanted rotas so all would get some time)
We arent refusing to engage in September planning
4/ We literally cant force our members not to come to work, we didnt ballot for strike action. We listened to members, we represented their views and we spoke on their behalf to the public.
What is Williamson planning on doing, removing our right to speak?
5/ Why is it so painful for this gov to consider actually talking properly to anyone outside of their inner circle on any subject?
Seems like the only way to get this government to listen to you is by donating to the party.
