Let me say this.

419 and Nigerian corruption are very serious but they are also serious distractions. We can't keep blaming government and fraudsters forever when there are many other innovations happening that need amplification and support. This is why I didn't support Buhari.
Buhari never got it. Unlike OBJ who brought in transcendental innovations to rebuild the country, Buhari has always been fighting the symptoms. I really don't blame him because he is a simple man with limited understanding voted in by many other simpletons. I blame his aides.
His aides are selfish and wicked people. I cant understand how educated people cannot see beyond partisanship and the real damage being done unless they themselves do not care.

Anyway, this is not about politics but the real issues. Nigeria can ONLY be saved with innovation.
The best analogy to describe what we are currently doing is from late Robert Rheinich the founder of Tocaro the first air ambulance service in Nigeria. He looked at our health care and governance and said we were just ”grinding water” in Nigeria. There is no substance in action.
He built Tocaro to capitalize on the flaws we had in healthcare and to serve those who wanted to escape it at the last minute. He later decided to build a hospital that saved my life once. He said that he didn't need to build that hospital but a little extra money didn't hurt.
The hospital he built as a hobby turned out to become an employer of people. A place where doctors like my best man got world-class training using very modern equipment before they left for other countries to create wealth that still comes back home. One hospital only.
Saving Nigeria is not from grand gestures or public pronouncements. It is from the multiplier effect of several innovations and creations. A Jewish guy who came to take from the rich ended up making the poor rich. That is what market-creating innovations do. Listen to @EfosaOjomo
"Societies don't develop because they've reduced corruption. They are able to reduce corruption because they've developed. Societies develop through investments in innovation." - @EfosaOjomo
I no longer need to bribe someone at NITEL to get my phone fixed because OBJ gave us GSM. That is how you end corruption.

Many are employed today because of GSM. That is how you end fraud.
The outsize economic impact of GSM is greater than any of the monies recovered from corrupt people and fraudsters.

If governance is broken, fix it. If institutions are leaking, block the leakages. Those are just housekeeping and not innovations.

Innovation moves us forward.
