While Graham Linehan being banned is good news for everyone, the part of me that used to like him hopes it's good for him too. He became unhealthily obsessed with the power he had on this platform and became a cruel, dangerous bully.

He devoted every waking hour to being transphobic on here, and he actively made a lot of people's lives worse. He also made his own life worse, throwing away his career, friends and family to pursue his vendetta.

I used to have a lot of respect for him, and it was a thrill if he interacted with my tweets. And it slowly became sadder and weirder, until you could guarantee he'd have been actively transphobic within the hour whenever you looked at his account.

The most important thing is that he's gone and the power he wielded on here is muted. That will make trans people and allies safer. I also hope he gets some help and becomes a better person.
