Policing is not just part of my life but my identity too. Last few weeks I have thought about that alot and can tell you nothing has changed. I still very much believe in the profession, my colleagues and myself to do the right thing for the public in the UK.
Two of my colleagues let us and the public down this week and deserve to face the full consequences of thier action. Every other colleague will feel the same.
But on the other hand colleagues in Reading and Glasgow have out their lives in the line to protect the public from grave harm. Some of my colleagues have made the ultimate sacrifice in the past to do the same.
My dear colleagues in London and in other parts in the country have been policing unlicensed music events. People there had no regard for thier neighbours. They called us, we served and got assaulted. It takes a special person to do that job. Proud of you all.
