Lol when I was working at the BBC in production I was one of two black people in my department then they left and it was just me. I was junior level and worked my way *a bit* up. There was no other demographic than white. If there were people of colour they would come in at paid intern level and often they would end up leaving because there was no room to advance. The system is broken and needs to be fixed

And the only reason I got to stay is because I literally brought them idea that they couldn't refuse. And even then, they tried to shift me off the project lol. By rights I should have produced it, I had to refuse and kick up a fuss before they made me Assistant Producer
