While all of us are updated about the police brutality in the west, our own media isn’t shedding enough light on a gruesome incident that recently took place in our own country.

A father-son duo. ( named JAYARAJ and EMMANUEL BENNICKS ) that were guilty of nothing more than keeping their store open for an additional 30 minutes during the lockdown have died in the police custody in Tamil Nadu,Southern India.

They were allegedly beaten up ruthlessly in the street. Their kneecaps were smashed with rods, then their faces were pushed into a wall and blows were rained on their backs and bottom until they were ripped and tattered.

They were stripped naked and thrown into jail. The police deliberately took them to a spot with no CCTV and sodomized them with metal rods!
Their torsos were punctured, their hair were pulled out in tufts, and their genitals were mangled.

Their bloodied clothes were sent back to their home THRICE and the police demanded fresh clothes to be sent back each time.
Two days later they were pronounced dead due to "heart failure and fever".

As of now, two cops have been suspended and a few have been transferred. This is not anywhere near the solution. Please. PLEASE Share their story and demand the cops to be charged for the murder of Jayaraj and Bennicks.

I cried the whole time I wrote this. I’m angry.
I’m hurt, & everyone else should be as well. If you can speak up about the murder of George Floyd & Breonna Taylor, you MUST speak up about Jayaraj and Bennicks. While this isn’t racial discrimination, it is still police brutality.
