Gonna have to apologise for becoming a crank but will print out my article about not pandering to reactionary values and send it to LOTO weekly as a bulletin until they got the message https://twitter.com/labourpress/status/1276764700630560770
Just hate to see it that Labour tells a story of the military as some sort of charitable organisation ‘helping’. That’s clearly not the main purpose of an army and we should not pretend it’s a cuddly community org https://twitter.com/mirrorpolitics/status/1276764699728711680?s=21 https://twitter.com/mirrorpolitics/status/1276764699728711680
People keep saying we should ditch Corbyn’s foreign policy because it was unpopular and abstracting about ‘imperialism’ that nobody cares about, so we can have social market economics. But actually this is one of the most important bits of Corbynism.
Looking at imperialism - economic and trade policy as well as military intervention, and how the latter is used to aid the former - is key to developing an analysis that realises the inter connectivity of our struggles across the world.
Have come to think that one of the biggest limitations of social democracy is this capitulation on international politics. Stands in the way of developing meaningful solidarity. And it imposes limits on analysis of the capitalist system which means soc dem can only ever go so far
