It's amazing how saying something to yourself every day can change how you view yourself, or the world at large. It's worth trying if you're so inclined. Try something like "I am extremely capable and damn fine" in the mirror 3x per day (morn, noon, night) for about a week
I say this because words are meaningful. I don't mean this in any sort of metaphysical or magical sense. I mean it in the sense that the words you regularly hear/see shape the lens through which you view the world
Think about how words that signal "dark" in your mind tend to automatically trigger images of evil, danger, & things to be feared while "bright" is for good, warmth, & joy. Think on "power" and what *feeling* that gives you, as your mind reacts to a lifetime of conditioning.
By choosing your words deliberately you can start to condition your own mind. It takes time, as with anything having to do with personal change & growth, but with sustained effort you can build new associations between yourself and the words you use
And in turn your shift toward more deliberate language can bring about change. It may not change the world at large (although who knows?!) but it can absolutely change what you notice and act on in your local world.
