Looking at my old posts a decade ago on politics etc., I was super naive and had so much hope.

I know in my heart I wasn't ready to join a group (guess I was insecure about my mental and physical capacity). And so I thought, if I can't make a change at the macro level..
...i could do something at a micro level.

So there, began my journey of activism through my love of art.

I love drawing and quotes...and my first placard was nothing fancy. Just a piece of vanguard sheet. A picture of Lady Liberty I had researched on Google.
The message of the placard was to highlight inequality and injustice. There were no intention to gain any form of fame.

I had my concerns on safety and employment. And mind you...this was the period where people are afraid that secret services will black bag you.
But I couldn't keep it quiet. And let an impression that youths (of my generation) were politically apathetic (well they were...personally speaking).

But most important for me at that time, was to have a medium to have a conversation. If my art could be used as a talking point..
...then it's a start. Even if it is made into a joke....it is something.

A decade had past and I'm 32 years old. I've seen some changes. Very proud changes even if it was small successes. But the most impressive?

Youths are rallying to fight for all forms of causes.
There is nothing too small or big of a challenge that fazes them. Even at my current age, I am learning from them.

And for that I am thankful to them for showing the rest of us what is courage. Even when courage had skipped a generation.
This thread is gets too long. I want to leave this picture of the naive old me here.

A reminder that we have a lot to do for the community. Which ever privileges we may have, we try our best to fight for those who don't.
