We don’t talk about it much, but we need to talk about the privilege of many of our #Covid19 decision makers.

...They are smart & not bad people, but they likely don’t see the daily struggles of most people - they don’t see apartment dwellers, frontline workers on public transport, the frustration of many living in tight spaces, and those worried about jobs, meals or being alone...

I am also aware of what healthcare & our leaders have done. There has been great work to date, BUT we need to do more. ...

... Even though there’s so much evidence & even volunteers willing to help, we don’t have coordinated messaging, good #tracing, or even mandatory #Masks4Canada.

I bet if I take our leaders into some of these apartments, on buses or to grocery stores, they would act faster. ...

... We need to remember that this is about our ‘weakest links’ - we are only as strong as our weakest link.

All it takes is just a few people in close quarters to rekindle a new wave.

Ps. I am not one to call out or judge anyone, as I don’t fully know what they’ve done nor what they are going through.

I never called out the Trinity Bellwood folks desperate for air & relief, nor those who went golfing or to cottages, Bc knew we were all just trying to cope...

... However, I do want to call out our slowness to act on key measures.

We already have evidence & experiences, but still choose to mull over things!

Please think ‘outside your circles’, consider those most at risk, and act!
