Respect for me is something that is equal across all the people in the world therefore it is something that is lost.

âselective respectâ is giving out respect only under certain circumstances.  It is an unethical behavior since it only showcases value of respect conditionally, not universally.
Personally, I have lost SOME respect for this person because of his unethical remarks and odious character.
