X1 Deserves Better Thread

As it is about to be July nearly 6 months since Oneits received the tragic news, X1 unit should happen.

X1 was created July 19 (PDX final) but then viewers became more and more suspicious about the rankings and votes. Mnet tried to hide it by saying there was a miscalculation, a meeting was held and agreed to debut X1. This made a lot of viewers file a lawsuit against Mnet.

Despite the lawsuits and open investigations, X1 debuted Aug 27 with Flash. The MV gained a lot of views, their mini album Quantum Leap sold mkre than 500,000 copies, and they got 11 music show wins with Flash.

Here is where things began to fall apart, at the end of Sep to early Oct 2-3 members confirmed to be rigged and 3 agencies were raided by police. Their CF deals were cancelled and they barely had variety show appearances.

Then on Nov 7 the producer of the PD seasons 2-4 admitted to rigging the final lineup for both X1 and IZ*ONE. They were having their Bangkok concert around that time. This caused the two groups to cancel or postpone their events and be banned from sns, vlive, and music awards.

They were being bashed and labeled "rigged group", "cheating members", and "product of a crime". There were petitions going around demanding for both groups to disband. Not only them but fromis_9 also experienced this while Idol School is under investigation.

X1's Vlive Event was cancelled in last minute, members were getting edited out, and they were pretty much on a lockdown. They were also excluded from 2019 MAMA along with IZ*ONE.

On Dec 3 Mnet released an apology and will soon deliver news about both groups. On Dec 30 a conference meeting was held and stated that both groups will resume their activities but they were still in discussion for the groups to continue.

Jan 6 a meeting was held for the members agencies to determine X1's future. Here is when the buffoonery happened, an anonymous vote was made on whether X1 should continue or disband and it had to be unanimous vote. The vote result 4 voted continue, 4 voted disband, 1 unknown.

This lead to X1 disbandment, before all of this Swing CEO wanted the members to be apart of the meeting but agencies declined. Members wanted to attend but still denied. Swing CEO wanted to release X1 winter album and comebsck MV as a goodbye gift but got rejected by agencies.

An agency wanted the members to do a goodbye video for Oneits but that idea was also dismissed by agencies.

What happened next?
-Members wrote letters as a goodbye
-No winter album that X1 already completed
-Oneits started the hashtags, protests, LED trucks, and Ads
-Oneits still demand an X1 unit

This thread summarizes the empty promises that CJ ENM made to Oneits. Our 5 years became 5 months, they were supposed to be the longest produce group but ended up becoming the shortest lived. Less than I.O.I's 7-8 contract with YMC and Swing.

X1 is the only group that didn't do a proper goodbye. I.O.I and Wanna One all did their goodbyes when their contracts ended, IZ*ONE is the only produce group left promoting.

Because of the vote rigging, X1 disbanded after 5 months of debuting. They all went on the survival show and all that was wasteful just to disband in 5 months. It is not the trainees or members fault. The adults should of got longer sentences, they hurt the fans and trainees.

The damage has been done and some trainees and members are traumatized by the rigging controversy. The produce show was not national producers' picks but ended up being the PDs pick before final voting. They stole viewers money for votes that were paid and it was useless.

The PDs betrayed everybody in the worst way yet their sentence got reduced? Even the trainees from previous seasons turned their backs on the PDs and adults involved in the rigging scandal. I would turn my back on them too if I was their former trainee because 1st) it is wrong.

2nd) you should never lie to fans or trainees. 3rd) the damage done needs to be compensated. The PDs and agencies are going down.
