In upmarket Delhi
Shantiniketan, Vasant Vihar, Golf Links, Sundar Nagar, West End, Malcha Marg, Defence Colony etc

You'll hear of a son fighting his father, brother litigating brother, a sister demanding her 'rightful' share of property & money.

The cream of Delhi - politicians, senior bureaucrats, writers intellectuals, historians, lawyers, doctors, publishers & journalists...

fight tooth & nail for a few hundred sq yards.
Builders & lawyers get involved.
Families break.
Sides are taken.
It's WAR

Underhand action of one sibling is met with swift & equal retaliation by other....

Some of these people write long sermonising op-eds, head committees, appear on TV, meet up at the IIC & the Delhi Gymkhana

and in drawing rooms they vociferously defend the Doctrine of High Moral Ground....

They visit & host alumni from Lahore colleges, play friendly golf tournaments & proudly brag of Pakistani hospitality.

They preach - Talks, Peace, Brotherhood & turning the other cheek when it comes to the aggressor against our country.

But strangely, for people who say they know best & think they know all.

India somehow doesn't quite ignite the same passion, loyalty, pride & fighting spirit in them, as a block of swanky apartments.
