Focus on the work at the center. What is it you’re trying to change/achieve? Identify the root issues. Who are the stakeholders? What needs to happen, when? Then decide whether fussing over what other people can/cannot say is a work avoidance or legitimate part of the work.
My work at the center is reforming policy making process. I invest in the young professionals with @thinkpolicyid. I spend my hours building the community. To me, reacting to every issue in a scattered manner or cancelling those who disagree with me is work avoidance.
There, I said it. Look past the horizon of being the rightest person on Twitter guys. The actual work (if you actually cared) is a gigantic effort that will take years of focus and being organized. Have a good weekend.
