Let me help explain some things: A few wks ago ICE tried to force parents who are in jails w/ their children. (Yes we have immigrant jails with parents & kids) to either: separate from your child indefinitely, OR stay in the prison with your child & maybe get COVID & die 1/

The Judge today in the news spreading right now's order today is about families in those same 3 family immigrant prisons. (Yes in the USA we have immigrant jails for parents & kids). Saying the children must be released by July 17th. The judge said: 2/

"The family residential centers are on fire and there is no more time for half measures” is what the judge said

BECAUSE 11 CHILDREN & PARENTS (IN USA FAMILY IMMIGRANT JAILS) have tested positive for #COVID19 already! 3/

So this is GREAT because these children can get out of immigrant prison. BUT WHAT IS NOT GREAT is if reporters don't pay attention & ICE uses this as an excuse to forcibly separate the children from the parents just like they did a few weeks again, instead of doing the obvious 4/

And release the parents with the children!

Duh.

But not so duh with this government who already tried to damage these families and try to keep the parents in immigrant jail and take their kids just a few short weeks ago! This was reported as "binary choice" 5/
