A thread about #sexualharassment. A few years ago, my then-19yo daughter had a very bad back. As you do when your child is in pain, I took her to a range of medically-trained therapists; anyone I thought could help her. Many of them sexually harassed her.

At first, she didn’t know what was happening. “He keeps asking me if I have a boyfriend. He asked me what I was doing after our appointment. He makes me feel uncomfortable, Mum.” I know it’s #notallmen, I get that.

But I was paying a few medically-trained men - a LOT of $ - to treat my daughter’s back pain. And they thought it was ok to try and hit on her. I wanted to complain to the professional bodies, but she didn’t want to go though with it. So each time, we’d quit.

Now I have a rule - anyone who is going to be alone in a room with my daughter, with even the slightest possibility of touching her, has to be female. To all those men who knew about #dysonheydon and didn’t say anything - how are you sleeping these days?
