Why on earth did Mighty Ducks II just make me break out in tears

My favorite sport growing up was hockey, believe it or not. First sport I ever played.

I grew up around all white people in the south. Not only was hockey not for people like me, it wasn’t for people where I was from either lol

Of all the kids sports movies I saw (which was all of them) mighty ducks 2 was my favorite. Decided to turn it on again today.

Had completely forgotten about this scene though.

these kids gave me a level of confidence that seems silly now but made all the sense to 10
Year old me. These young Black kids can hang with Team USA. I can play too.

also, had one or three tonight lol
